Senator Sarah Elfreth

Sarah was elected to serve as District 30’s Senator, representing Annapolis and South County.

Sarah has spent her career engaged in some of Maryland’s most important battles: advocating for the Bay, strengthening our schools, and creating jobs.

She served as Vice President of her community association and as President of the District 30 Democratic Club and worked for landmark institutions in Maryland including Johns Hopkins and the National Aquarium. She is a proven leader ready to fight for our families in the State House.

Strengthen Public Schools: As a proud product of public schools, Sarah believes that every child deserves access to a high-quality public education. As you’re Senator, Sarah will be committed to expanding technical and career education to prepare kids for 21st century jobs, investing in universal pre-kindergarten, and increasing teacher salaries to keep experience in our classrooms. Sarah is proud to be endorsed by the Maryland State Education Association.

Protect The Chesapeake Bay: The Bay is our greatest natural resource, our economic engine, and key to our way of life. As your Senator, Sarah will help increase oyster populations, invest in clean energy jobs, and fight to protect our forests and critical areas. Sarah is proud to be endorsed by the Sierra Club and Maryland League of Conservation Voters.

Work Hard For Working Families: As the daughter of a train engineer and probation officer, Sarah knows we need a range of jobs—from small business, to blue collar, to hi-tech. As your Senator, Sarah will invest in infrastructure, give businesses the tools they need to create jobs, and help make childcare more affordable.
